The world is still transforming

Published by tuannguyen under Opinion Edit This

I have just got the Sony PRS-700 today, and I am absolutely excited having it. Thus, it strike on my mind alarming that our physical world is step-by-step transforming into a digital one.

Nowadays, everything is possible as our tasks are all packed in small little devices that we call “gadgets.” Work has been being brought into small mobile laptops and delivered to mobile phones. In the very close future, tons of books and papers will be compressed into a little device so call “ebook readers.” The one I’m having is quite impressive. You can touch on the screen and do many tasks as you wish such as turn the page, highlight or even search words and terms. The Reader also has backlight so that you can read in a dark room. Worthily, this $400 reader, which sounds kinda expensive, but can be balanced up with free newspaper download on the internet.

As natural, new device begins new battles on the market. 30 years ago, Microsoft and Apple was fighting with small firms to dominate the consumers. Today, many reading devices with e-ink technology are being produced include Amazon Kindle, Irex Iliad and Plastic Reading from Logic Plastic coming this January. No one seems to dominate this chaos game yet, as the Green Revolution is quite new, Amazon and Kindle is leading but meeting many threats.

Last word, I’m very happy to see these stuff coming out to the market in which way can save forests and space.
